 Linda Roundtree, president of Roundtree Consulting LLC, has more than fifteen years of corporate and consulting experience designing and implementing workforce effectiveness solutions such as flexible scheduling, telecommuting, child and elder care assistance, and community involvement. Specializing in work-life communications and program design, Roundtree Consulting partners with a wide range of organizations including: Fortune 500 corporations, small businesses, state and federal government agencies, academic institutions, and nonprofits.
Prior to starting her business, Linda was a vice president with Ceridian, a Fortune 1000 company and a leading work-life and employee assistance program provider. At Ceridian, Linda led account management teams and consulted with diverse companies across the U.S. and Canada.
Before joining Ceridian, Linda held a variety of management positions with American Airlines during a 17-year career. While in operations at the airline, Linda proposed and implemented a company-wide strategic work-life effort including flexible work arrangements, manager training, resource and referral services, child and elder care assistance, and lactation support. Established as the airline industry's first work-life manager, Linda became an expert on designing work-life solutions for multi-site, 24/7 customer service operations of all sizes. Partnering with diverse workgroups, she created a portfolio of award-winning initiatives, earning American Airlines a place on Working Mother magazine's "100 Best Companies" list.
Currently, Linda is president of the Alliance for Work-Life Progress (AWLP), president of King County's Child Care Resources, and a member of WorldatWork and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She is the workplace solutions advisor and columnist for Women Entrepreneurs Inc. Previously, Linda was a corporate member of the Boston College Work & Family Roundtable, the Families & Work Institute Corporate Leadership Circle, and the Family Support at Work Leadership Roundtable.
Linda holds a bachelor's in Communicative Disorders, Audiology from California State University Northridge. She lives outside of Seattle with her husband and two young children.
