Information... Action... Results
Increasingly, political and corporate leaders are turning to women entrepreneurs for their input on critical policy and business issues. Working through Women Entrepreneurs, Inc. (WE Inc.) women business owners will directly impact the course of public policy and legislation in Washington, D.C., state capitols, and by extension the future of women entrepreneurship in the U.S. and worldwide.
WE Inc. members will help to shape how traditional business networks, the media and the public view women business ownership. By educating key constituencies about the growing economic clout and success of women entrepreneurs, WE Inc. will open new doors to capital, untapped markets and other opportunities that will help more women experience the satisfaction and rewards of business ownership.
WE Inc. is a nonpartisan business association that works to improve and enhance the economic climate for women entrepreneurship. By advocating for policy solutions that encourage business ownership by women, and providing information and resources to entrepreneurs at all stages of their business development, WE Inc. aims to increase economic opportunity and financial security for those seeking the risky but rewarding path of entrepreneurship.
WE Inc. members will:
- Stay informed on key issues through regular communication from WE Inc. president & CEO Karen Kerrigan, and our board of experts.
- Have the opportunity to participate in forums and workshops that address their most pressing business needs.
- Take action by sharing information with business peers, the media and members' general sphere of influence within their community and state.
- Contact members of the U.S. Senate and House on key votes and legislative issues. We Inc. members will help advocate at the local, state, and international levels as well.
- Attend briefings with Administration officials.
- Be invited to testify before congressional hearings, and participate in media events.
- Attend regular meetings in the nation's capital and throughout the country to network with fellow WE Inc. members, celebrate our victories for America's job-creating women entrepreneurs and keep up-to-date on new business trends.
- We Inc. members will receive the latest information and trends on accessing capital, world markets, new technology, affordable health insurance coverage, and new tools for more efficiently running their firms and bringing products or services to market.
The We Inc. agenda is distinctly pro-business. Women business owners are changing the way that business gets done in America, and we will use our growing economic power and influence to advance important initiatives to maintain the health and vitality of our economy for future generations of women entrepreneurs.
